ellen® Probiotic Tampon is a unique probiotic tampon that contains the same natural lactic acid bacteria found in a healthy vagina. The bacteria in the tampon help maintain a good bacterial culture and a balanced pH value in the vagina, as this can be disturbed during menstruation. The tampon has a smooth and fine surface layer and is not chlorine bleached.

When the tampon is moistened by the warm menstrual fluid, the bacteria are released into the vagina. There, they help to lower the pH value and thereby maintain the pH balance, which can otherwise easily become unbalanced during menstruation. When the pH value in the vagina is in balance, harmful and unwanted bacteria have a harder time to settle and cause problems.

ellen® Probiotic Tampon should be used just like a normal tampon. For best results, leave the tampon in for at least two hours and use at least three tampons per day. It is important to use the right size of tampon so it gets moistened enough that the probiotics can get out into the vagina. Never leave a tampon in for more than eight hours.

ellen® Probiotic Tampon Medium is used for moderate bleeding and absorbs 9-12 g of liquid/tampon. Store the tampons dry and cool in the metal can with desiccant bags.

ellen® Probiotic Tampon contains the unique mixture Lacto Naturel (LN) which is a mix of three probiotic lactic acid bacteria strains: (L. rhamnosus LN113, L. gasseri LN40 and L. fermentum LN99). The tampon consists of viscose and the string of 100% cotton. The surface layer consists of Polyester/Polyethylene.
