Description
Usage: Please follow these simple yet extremely important candle burning rules to ensure a pleasant and safe burning experience:
* Burn the candle continuously until the entire surface melts. This ensures even burning of the candle.
ALWAYS trim the wick to 0.5 cm before lighting the candle. This ensures that the candle burns cleanly and does not produce soot. A wick that is too long or has burning debris (commonly known as a ‘mushroom’) will cause the flame to be too large, become unstable and may produce smoke and soot. Burning a candle with a wick that is too long or a large flame is dangerous. If the flame becomes too large, extinguish the candle, trim the wick shorter, and then relight the candle if desired.
Blowing out the candle causes smoke. Instead, press the wick into the molten wax with, for example, the tip of a knife, and then lift it up again. Ensure the wick remains centered and that no burnt wick pieces remain in the wax.
Do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours at a time.
Always burn the candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from items that may catch fire. Stop burning the candle when less than 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom of the glass.
Be cautious when moving a burning candle – the glass can be hot.
Keep burning candles away from children and pets.
Avoid drafts around the candle.
Never leave a burning candle unattended!
If the candle glass becomes sooty (due to not trimming the wick…), it can be easily cleaned with a paper napkin.
