Description
The frame of Kietla sunglasses is very light and flexible and unbreakable. The frame of Kietla glasses is in one piece and contains no screws.
If a baby twists the temple of the glasses, there is no risk that falling screws could end up in the baby’s mouth.
Since the retina of a baby’s eyes is very sensitive, the glasses offer high category 3 protection against harmful sun rays.
The glasses come with an adjustable strap that can be used to secure the glasses on the head if the baby starts to pull them off. The glasses are packaged in a case that can later be used, for example, as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of the sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable one-piece frame;
- Very light glasses (weight 8 gr);
- Very flexible temples without screws;
- High category 3 protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays;
- The entire frame of the glasses is one piece and without screws;
- Blue light filter (protection against light from digital devices);
- Very durable polycarbonate lenses;
- The lenses of the glasses can be replaced with ordinary lenses (consult an optometrist);
- The glasses do not press on the baby’s head or nose.
- CE-certified glasses. French quality.
Usage: Although Kietla glasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not a toy. Please ensure that the child does not rub them against stones or chew on them. In such cases, the lenses may get scratched.
Does a baby need to wear sunglasses?
On a hot sunny summer day, the eyes of babies and children must be especially carefully protected from harmful solar radiation, as their ability to protect their eyes is low: a child’s eye pupil is wide, the lens is crystal clear, and moreover, they tend to look upwards more than adults. Children are at a greater risk of developing eye damage caused by excessive solar radiation.
Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes?
It is not the dark glass that protects the eyes from solar radiation but UV protection. Wearing glasses with simply dark-tinted lenses without UV protection is extremely dangerous for the eyes, because the eyes’ natural defense functions: squinting and pupil constriction, do not activate with dark lenses. As a result, much more UV radiation enters the eye than without sunglasses.
