Awwww… something wonderful and cute and always unbreakable – meet Kietla Bear Baby sunglasses!
The sunglasses retain all the amazing features of Kietla glasses, but are simply ten times cuter!
The sunglasses are made in France and have won special awards at several baby and children’s product fairs!
The sunglasses come with an adjustable strap and a pouch. The sunglasses are packaged in a case that can later be used, for example, as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of the sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable frame
- Very lightweight (only 9 g)
- Very flexible arms – there’s no risk of the arms breaking if a child twists them!
- One-piece frame with no screws – safe in case a screw ends up in your child’s hands!
- High category 3 protection against the sun’s harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays
- Blue light filter (protects from digital devices)
- Very durable polarized polycarbonate mirror lenses
- The lenses can be replaced with regular lenses (ask your optometrist for advice)
- The sunglasses do not put pressure on the child’s head or nose.
Care: clean with warm water and neutral soap.
Usage: Although Kietla sunglasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not a toy. Please make sure your child does not rub them against stones or bite them. In such cases, the lenses may get scratched.
Does a baby need to wear sunglasses? Babies’ and children’s eyes need to be especially carefully protected from harmful sun radiation on hot, sunny summer days, because their eye’s defenses are low: a child’s pupil is wide, the lens is crystal clear, and they also tend to look upwards more than adults. Children are at greater risk of developing sun-related eye damage.
Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes? It is not the darkness of the lenses that protects the eyes from sun radiation, but the UV protection. Wearing sunglasses with darkened lenses but without UV protection is extremely dangerous for the eyes, because the eyes’ natural defense mechanisms—squinting and pupil contraction—do not work with dark lenses. This allows much more UV radiation to enter the eye than when not wearing sunglasses at all.
