Description
The frame of Kietla sunglasses is very lightweight, flexible, and unbreakable. The Kietla sunglasses frame is one piece and contains no screws.
If a child twists the temple arms of the sunglasses, there is no risk of screws falling out and ending up in their mouth.
Since children’s eye retinas are very sensitive, the sunglasses feature a high category 3 protection against the sun’s harmful rays.
The sunglasses come with an adjustable strap that allows you to secure the sunglasses on the child’s head as needed if the child tries to pull the sunglasses off. The sunglasses are packaged in a case that can be reused later, for example as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of the sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable one-piece frame;
- Very lightweight sunglasses (weight 10 g);
- Very flexible, screwless temple arms;
- High category 3 protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays;
- The entire sunglasses frame is one piece and screw-free;
- Blue light filter (protection against light from smart devices);
- Very durable polycarbonate lenses;
- The lenses can be replaced with regular lenses (ask your optometrist for advice);
- The sunglasses do not put pressure on the child’s head or nose.
- CE-certified sunglasses. French quality.
Usage: Although Kietla sunglasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, these are not toys. Please ensure the child does not rub them against rocks or chew on them. Lenses may become scratched if this happens.
Do children need to wear sunglasses?
On hot, sunny summer days, the eyes of babies and children must be particularly well protected from harmful sunlight, as children’s eyes have less natural protection: a child’s pupil is wide, the lens is crystal clear, and children look up more than adults do. Children have a greater risk of sun-related eye damage.
Do ordinary dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes?
It’s not the darkness of the lens that protects the eyes against sunlight, but UV protection. Wearing sunglasses with simply tinted lenses, but no UV protection, is extremely dangerous for the eyes, because the eyes’ natural defense functions—squinting and pupil contraction—do not activate under a dark lens. As a result, significantly more UV radiation enters the eyes than if not wearing sunglasses at all.
