Description
Awwww… something wonderful and adorable, and still unbreakable – meet the Kietla Bear Baby sunglasses!
The sunglasses retain all the amazing features of Kietla eyewear, but they’re simply ten times cuter!
The sunglasses are made in France and have won special awards at various baby and children’s product fairs!
The sunglasses come with an adjustable strap and a pouch. The glasses are packed in a case, which can later be used, for example, as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of the sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable frame
- Very lightweight (weigh only 9g)
- Extremely flexible temples – no risk of breaking if a child bends them!
- One-piece frame without screws – safe if a screw should end up in a child’s hands!
- High category 3 protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays
- Blue light filter (for digital devices)
- Very durable polarized polycarbonate mirrored lenses
- The lenses can be replaced with regular lenses (ask your optometrist for advice)
- The glasses do not put pressure on the child’s head or nose.
Care: Clean with warm water and a neutral soap.
Usage: Though Kietla sunglasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not a toy. Please make sure your child does not rub them against stones or chew on them. In such cases, the lenses may get scratched.
Does a baby need to wear sunglasses? Babies’ and children’s eyes must be carefully protected from harmful sunlight on hot, sunny summer days, as their eyes have lower protective ability: a child’s pupil is wide, their lens is crystal-clear, plus they look upwards more than adults. Children are at greater risk of sun-induced eye damage.
Do regular dark lenses also protect a baby’s eyes? What protects eyes from sunlight is not darkness of the lens, but UV protection. Wearing lenses that are merely tinted and lack UV protection is extremely dangerous, as the eye’s natural protective reactions—squinting and pupil contraction—do not activate with dark lenses. Thus, much more UV radiation reaches the eyes than if the child wore no sunglasses at all.
