Description
The frame of Kietla sunglasses is very light, flexible, and unbreakable. The frame of Kietla glasses is in one piece and has no screws.
If a child twists the temple of the glasses, there is no risk of screws falling out and potentially being swallowed.
Since children’s retinas are very sensitive, the glasses provide high-level category 3 protection against harmful sun rays.
The glasses come with an adjustable strap that can be used to keep the glasses on when the child tries to pull them off. The glasses are packaged in a case that can later be used, for example, as a pencil case or other holder.
Special features of sunglasses:
- 100% unbreakable single-piece frame;
- Very lightweight glasses (weighing 10 grams);
- Highly flexible temples without screws;
- High-level category 3 protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays;
- The entire frame is one piece with no screws;
- Blue light filter (protection against light from digital devices);
- Very durable polycarbonate lenses;
- Lenses can be swapped with regular lenses (consult an optometrist for advice);
- Glasses do not press against the child’s head or nose.
- CE-certified glasses. French quality.
Use: Although Kietla glasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not toys. Please ensure that the child does not rub them against stones or chew them. In such cases, the lenses may get scratched.
Do children need to wear sunglasses?
On hot, sunny summer days, the eyes of babies and children must be carefully protected from harmful sunlight, as their protective ability is low: a child’s pupil is wide, the lens is crystal clear, and they look upward more than adults do. Children are at greater risk of eye damage caused by excessive sunlight exposure.
Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes?
It’s not the dark lens that protects eyes from sunlight, but the UV protection. Wearing glasses with simply darkened lenses without UV protection is extremely dangerous to the eyes because the eye’s natural defense mechanisms—squinting and pupil constriction—do not activate with dark lenses. Therefore, considerably more UV radiation can reach the eye than when without sunglasses.

Väga vastupidavad. Ühte paari on kandnud mul juba 2 last.

Minu lapsele meeldivad. Muidu kipub prille ära kiskuma, aga neid saab ka kummiga kinni panna ja siis hoiab kenasti ees. Laps 1,5a, suurus sobib ideaalselt.
