Description
The KIETLA Diabola 0-12 months sunglasses are the most innovative product on the sunglasses market because they can be worn in two ways. The patented model can be worn from 0-6 months one way and 6-12 months the other way (glasses adapt to the baby’s growing nose). Additionally, the lenses offer the highest level of protection against harmful UV radiation with category 4 lenses. The glasses are very lightweight – only 8 grams! The glasses have no screws, so there is no risk of anything small falling into the baby’s fingers. The frame of the glasses is very flexible, durable, and in one piece. KIETLA Diabola glasses are a very popular and award-winning product (Top Label Conso Baby and Nantes School of Design awards).
Special features of the sunglasses:
- Durable one-piece frame;
- Very lightweight glasses (weighing 8 gr);

Does a baby need to wear sunglasses?
The eyes of babies and children should be particularly well protected against harmful sunlight on hot sunny summer days, as their eyes have low protective capacity: a child’s pupil is wide, the lens is crystal clear, and they often look up more than adults. Children are at a greater risk of developing eye damage due to excessive sun exposure.
Do regular dark lenses protect babies’ eyes as well?
It is not the dark lenses that protect the eyes from sunlight but the UV protection. Wearing glasses with just tinted dark lenses without UV protection is very dangerous for the eyes because the natural protective functions of the eyes: squinting and pupil constriction, do not activate with dark lenses. As a result, more UV radiation enters the eyes than when not wearing sunglasses.
