The sunglasses come with an adjustable strap and a pouch. The sunglasses are packaged in a case that can later be used as a pencil case or other holder.

Kietla’s sunglasses for ages 0-4 have a one-piece, highly flexible, screw-free frame that is unbreakable when twisted. Although the sunglasses are designed to be as safe as possible for children, they are not toys. The lenses may get scratched if rubbed against stones, chewed on, etc.

Usage: Although Kietla sunglasses are very durable and the frame is unbreakable, they are not toys. Please make sure your child does not rub them against stones or chew on them. In such cases, the lenses may become scratched.

Should babies wear sunglasses? Babies’ and children’s eyes must be particularly well protected from harmful sun rays on hot sunny summer days, as their eyes have lower natural protection: a child’s pupil is larger, the lens is crystal clear, and they tend to look upwards more than adults. Children are therefore at greater risk of eye damage caused by excessive sun exposure.

Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes? It is not the dark lens that protects the eyes from the sun’s rays, but the UV protection. Wearing sunglasses with non-UV-protected, simply dark-tinted lenses is very dangerous, because the eye’s natural protective mechanisms—squinting and pupil contraction—don’t kick in with dark glass. As a result, much more UV light enters the eye than if no sunglasses were worn at all.
