Description
The Urban sunglasses from the VIBE collection are designed for active children who move both in the city and in nature. The sharp-lined square design gives the glasses a modern and sporty look.
The semi-thick temples of the glasses are made of translucent material and feature a 180° flexible hinge, allowing wide opening without damaging the frame. The uniform matte tone adds character, while the translucent tone keeps the design light. The model is available in two sizes: 4–7 and 7–12 years, fitting different face shapes.
The first-category polarized lenses offer maximum protection against the sun. The lenses filter 100% of UV radiation (UVA, UVB, UVC) and contain a blue light filter, which reduces glare and improves visual comfort in bright light. Polarization makes vision clearer against reflections from water, sand, and asphalt.
The Urban model is designed to withstand even tougher use. The 180° opening temples, lightweight, and ergonomic shape ensure comfort throughout the day without causing pressure.
Included is a microfiber pouch, suitable for storing and cleaning the glasses. If desired, the frame can also be equipped with optical lenses (via an optician).

Should children and babies wear sunglasses? The eyes of babies and children need to be specially protected against harmful sunlight on hot sunny summer days, because their eye protection is low: a child’s eye pupil is wide, the lens crystal clear, and moreover, they look upwards more than adults. Children are at a higher risk of eye damage caused by excessive sun exposure.
Does a regular dark lens also protect children’s and babies’ eyes? Eyes are not protected against sun radiation by dark lenses, but by UV protection. Wearing glasses with UV protection, simply dark-tinted lenses without UV protection is extremely dangerous for the eyes, as the eye’s natural protective functions: squinting and pupil constriction, do not work with dark lenses. Consequently, significantly more UV radiation reaches the eyes than without sunglasses.
