Description
KIETLA Wazz sunglasses for children aged 1–2 have a classic adult Keyhole frame design so little ones can look just like mom and dad. The sunglasses have no screws, making them safe by eliminating the risk of small parts getting into your child’s hands (and mouth). The sunglasses feature a single-piece, highly flexible, and durable frame. Their lenses provide high-level category 3 UV protection and are made from robust polycarbonate.
Special features of the sunglasses:
– Durable single-piece frame;
– Very lightweight (only 10g);
– Extremely flexible arms without screws;
– High category 3 protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays;
– Single-piece frame and screw-free construction;
– Blue light filter (protection from digital devices);
– Exceptionally durable polycarbonate lenses;
– Lenses can be replaced with prescription lenses (consult your optometrist);
– Super lightweight and comfortable to wear—the glasses do not press on your child’s head or nose;
– Includes a beautiful package, straps, and bag;
– CE-certified. French quality.
Usage: Although Kietla sunglasses are highly durable and the frame is virtually unbreakable, they are not toys. Please ensure your child does not rub them against stones or bite on them, as this can scratch the lenses.
Should babies wear sunglasses?
Babies’ and children’s eyes must be especially protected from harmful sun radiation during hot, sunny summer days, as their eyes’ natural defenses are lower: a child’s pupil is larger, the lens is crystal-clear, and children tend to look upwards more often than adults. Kids are therefore more at risk of sun-induced eye damage.
Do regular dark lenses also protect babies’ eyes?
It is not the darkness of sunglasses that protects eyes from the sun, but the UV protection. Wearing sunglasses with just tinted—UV-unprotected—lenses can actually be very dangerous, as the eyes’ natural defensive reactions (squinting, pupil contraction) do not engage as they normally would. As a result, even more UV radiation can reach the eye than without sunglasses.
